Why did I decide to run for the state legislature?

As a local business owner, I see the devastation caused by the horrible economy on a daily basis. I’ve been running businesses for around 20 years. I currently own and operate Boise Pawn & Gold on State st. I, along with the people I talk to everyday, was hit hard by the Real Estate market collapse and the deep recession that followed and continues to persist.

The state of the State is not good to put it mildly. Unemployment is high. Foreclosures are high. Government needs to implement policies that will encourage private job creation. I believe I possess the knowledge and business experience to help shape policies that will encourage businesses to create jobs in Idaho. Only private sector job creation can bring prosperity back to Idaho.
